Newsletters have been published since the club started back in 1969. On average they were produced twice a year. Over the many years there have been just as many different editors, with each editor bringing their own layout style. They include news about the club, the trip schedule, reports of completed trips, the programme for club nights, the transport fares and the list of office holders.
Early on there was no special title or logo included. That soon changed with titles like "Western Tararua Times" and "Parawai News", logos showing the club badge followed by an early circular digital logo. Now the publication is known as Parawai Pathways with the new club logo.

They are also a great example of the technology advances over the decades. In the early days they were produced on a typewriter and then photocopied. Then along came the word processor versions, followed by the current digital versions which allow for photographs to be included.
Most of the early newsletters have been scanned from the originals which some members had managed to keep.
