The club welcomes new members. Young, not so young, families and individuals can all join our club. There is no requirement to complete a set number of trips, but you will need to come to a club night to meet club members. We recommend that you go along on one or two trips before you decide to join, so that you can see if you like us and we can see if we like you.

Once you have decided that you will join us, then all you need to do is complete the application form.

We expect that people who participate in our trips will be club members so while we encourage you to come on one or two before joining, we expect you to join the club before joining in more trips.

Bring the form to a club night. If you have already been to a club night you can scan and email the form to the Membership Officer. Payment can be made to the bank account listed on the form.

All members of the club automatically become members of Federated Mountain Clubs (FMC). Thereby you get the latest FMC quarterly bulletin "Backcountry" and a FMC Discount card. The Discount card can be used at outdoor retailers, travel firms and gives you a substantial discount on the DOC (Department of Conservation) Annual Hut Pass. All new members will be given a copy of the FMC publication Safety in Mountains (RRP $15) and a free FMC Pack Liner (RRP$2.50).

• Senior (ie Adult) $58
• Youth $40
