Leader: Dave Cox

Thirteen keen trampers and one dog headed up from Kaitoke in hot weather. We had morning tea (and some nibbles into lunch bags) at the old Dobson Hut site, with reminiscing from a few of us of Friday nights there.

Then we had a nice downhill walk to lunch and lovely swimming in the river. Great to see the ferns all still looking moist and healthy. In the afternoon it was onwards up Smith Creek and a hot Puffer Track back to the cars. Overall a nice trip with one memorable lowlight - no coffee stops. What is the club coming to?
