Arete Forks 20-23 October

Thursday - We left the Kiriwhakapapa road end and up to Blue Range Hut. Friday - We followed the track to Cow Creek Hut, then along the ridge line to Cow Saddle, followed by a steep climb up to the top of Waingawa. Then we followed a spur heading directly down towards Arete Forks Hut. Saturday - We headed up behind the hut to ascend Table Ridge. Then along to Brockett, Mitre, Peggys Peak and down to Mitre Flats Hut. Sunday - Across the Waingawa River and up to Blue Range. Then down a spur to the Mikimiki Stream and out along the Mikimiki walkway to Kiriwhakapapa.
