A circuit in the Ruahines, overnighting at Howletts Hut. Saturday - We left the Kashmir road end and headed up to Longview Hut for lunch. Then up to Otumore through Pohangina Sadddle and then north along the main range and up to Taumatataua on the Daphne Range. Then along to Howletts Hut. Sunday - Down Daphne Spur to Daphne Hut. Then down the Tukituki River to have lunch at the start of the track that heads back to Kashmir Road.

Saturday was miserable...
Wet, foggy and even a little cold...
So there was lots of wet gear to get dry!
