Whole Otaki Waitangi Weeekend 4-6 February
Tramping and camping on the Otaki River. A circuit from Poads Road to Manakau. Saturday - Up the Ohau and South Ohau River To South Ohau Hut for lunch. Then up the Yeates Track and down into the head of the Otaki River to camp. Sunday - We headed down the river to the Waitewaewae River junction. Then up the Waitewaewae river for a short distance to camp. Monday - Up the river to just before Chaney Creek and up on to the ridge to Mick for a late lunch. Then further north to Thompson and down the logging road to the Waikawa River campsite and the cars belonging to the day trip team.
