Hutt Gorge Waitangi Day Wednesday 6 February
Waitangi Day fun in the Hutt Gorge. We had to abandon the tubing trip after a short distance down the river because the high level was making it dangerous. After a bite to eat for lunch we climbed up the hill to the south to join the Ridge Track. Then along this back to the cars.
Looks like somebody briefly pulled the plug on the river
This doesn't look like the tour brochure at all ...
Lots of empty tubes. Where are the tubers?
