Bridge Peak

Paula

Goodbye old friend!

Heading off bright and early Saturday morning

Tararua Peaks

G Monster and old Boots climbing down towards the ladder

The ladder - AWESOME!!!

Graeme and Paula

Even when you go to the toilet in the mountains you must always remember to pull the chain!

We made it through before the winds got stronger

Maungakuha hut - you couldn't get a better location

Onwards towards Aokaporangi (the wind was gusting 70km and it was very hard to walk!)

The Tararuas guarantee climbing around every corner

Aokap biv bagged

Almost at the goblin forest and Andersons Memorial hut

The next day we had 70+km winds and rain to add to the fun, we reached Junction knob after some hard pushing

Down to Shoudler knob

The Otaki river was pretty brown and wide

As were the side creeks from Y2YY hut

Taken from the Y2YY swingbridge

GPS map - 51kms
