Leader: John Glover
Six walkers took-on the Paekakariki - Pukerua Bay Escarpment. The weather had been very doubtful in the previous days, but the front went through at 4am while most of us were still sleeping. So, although we began the outing wearing parkas, many of them were removed because of the clamminess (only to be put back on briefly at the summit, for wind protection). So, assisted by a tail wind, we completed an enjoyable walk, and boarded the train at Pukerua Bay to return home for a late lunch.
Those on the trip were:
Helen Baber, Kate Livingston, Daryl Sullivan, Eva Petro, Patrick Liss, John Glover
