Leader: Tony Quayle

Starting at the Kapiti 4x4 site, we wandered east up the side valley for a while before climbing the Teams Track to join the standard Maunganui track a short distance from the summit. The open clearings provided great views out to the coast, and a chance for Chris to spot his house. A few minutes beyond the summit a short side track took us out to another clearing that offers great views out to the east, a great lunch spot where we could spot southern Tararua and Remutaka peaks.
