Seventeen of us converged onto Matiu / Somes Island for a social trip - 12 in Education House and 5 camping.

After walking around the island we settled in for a shared meal - lovely dumplings and then no chance of starving. A night walk yielded sightings of penguins and the Cook Strait giant weta, but unfortunately no tuatara - (next time?)

A very leisurely Sunday, then people headed home.
