Eleven of us met up at 9:15am on the cycleway at Te Moana Road and headed up the expressway route for coffee and treats at the iconic Bus Stop Cafe near Te Horo Beach.

After coffee and much yarning, we headed to the other side of the expressway to enjoy the quiet flat roads over there, going past Te Horo School, Hautere Cross Road, and on to the junction with Otaki Forks Road. Here we turned west and then later south onto Old Hautere Road to once again meet up with the expressway.

We then proceeded to Peka Peka Beach for lunch, with some folk opting to go their own way at the Harrison's roundabout. Back home between 1:00 and 2:00pm, after a great ride in good weather.
