Mana Island: Linda Keerkmeester from FOMI (Friends of Mana Island) will update us on projects and other happenings on Mana Island.

NZ Mountain Film Festival 2026: The meeting this week will be combined with the Mountain Film Festival movies.
The venue for the meeting is: 2 Greendale Drive, Paraparaumu
It is in the Camelot subdivision, off Otaihanga Road (entry opposite and down a little from Southwards Car Museum). There is plenty of parking by the big Camelot sign, then walk down the driveway behind the sign to the barn.
It is the barn where we held the midwinter dinner and it has a fantastic full size screen for showing the movies.
We will have the meeting first then show the movies.
This year the movies are:
NZ Mountain Film Festival 2026, a selection of the best - 'Mia', 'Mountain of Mystery', 'Hunter's Moon', 'K2- Chasing Shadows'.
The cost is $15 per person, please pay into the club account:

What's the weather going to do?: Tony Quayle will present some tools to assess the weather - websites and apps that provide an overview for a week or more, info for making decisions, and checking forecasts while out in the mountains.
