20th MayHunt for the Kokako: Merryl Park and Ian Flux have been on the trail of kokako over several years. They will talk about this and how they ended up on Secretary Island hunting for these special birds.


3rd JuneTrekking in Patagonia: Peter Davis will describe for us the journeys he and other PTC members undertook in South America.


17th JuneClub Annual Challenge: This evening we will hear about how well we did with the Peaks and Rivers challenge, and celebrate those successes.


1st JulyTe Pua-a-Tane track in Whirinaki FP and the Round the Mountain track, Ruapehu: We will hear from Sandra Rowland and Owen Cox about multi-day tramps in two very different in terrains.


15th JulyAGM. Check the emails from our committee for further information. After we will hear from Rodney Hopkirk and Daryll Sutherland with an update on trapping in Whareroa.


5th AugustPhoto Competition. Details about entering will come out shortly. In the meantime, start sorting out your best shots.


19th AugustMana Island. Linda Keerkmeester from FOMI (Friends of Mana Is) will update us on projects and other happenings on Mana Is.


2nd SeptemberWhat's the weather going to do?: Tony Quayle will present some tools to assess how the weather might affect your trip - websites and apps that provide an overview for a week or more, detailed info for making decisions beforehand, and checking forecasts while you are out in the mountains.
