Aorangi hikoi and Mackintosh 29-31 July
A weekend based at the River Valley Lodge on the banks of the Rangitikei River. Friday - Drive to the lodge. Saturday - Drive to Kuripapango. Descend quickly to the Tutaekuri River and ascend to the Mackintosh plateau and onto Mackintosh Hut. Then return the same way back to the cars and lodge. Sunday - With our guide Richard Steedman, we cross the Rangitikei by cableway and ascend the track to Aorangi. Then back again to the lodge.
