A classic circuit in Nelson Lakes National Park. Day 1 - Up to Bushline Hut from the Mt Robert carpark. Day 2 - Along Robert Ridge to Angelus Hut. Day - 3 Up to Sunset Saddle. 7 of the team decided to drop their packs and summit Angelus Peak. Then down to Hopeless Hut for lunch. Then down Hopeless Creek to the Travers River track. Then on up to John Tait Hut. Day 4 - Up the Travers River track to Upper Travers Hut. Then up to Travers Saddle for lunch. Then down to the East branch of the Sabine River and down to West Sabine Hut. Day 5 - Up the Sabine River to Blue Lake Hut. Day 6 - We retrace our steps to the West Sabine Hut before continuing on down the Sabine River to Lake Rotoroa and Sabine Hut. Day 6 - Along to Speargrass Hut. Day 7 - Out to the Mt Robert carpark.
