Orange Hut MTB Sunday 23 November
We started at the Campbell Mill road end passed the top of the Whareroa farm and along and up to the
entrance to the Akatarawa forest. Then we negotiated the deep muddy areas along the road before beginning the rocky descent toward Orange Hut for lunch. We left Orange Hut negotiating the many crossings of the Akatarawa Stream. We then wound our way up the long steady uphill section to regain the elevation of the ridge above. From there it was straightforward and mainly downhill in returning along Campbell Mill road.
