Stanfield - Cattle Creek 1-2 October
Up the Tamaki West River to Stanfield Hut then up and over to Cattle Creek Hut. Some of us decided to have a walk to Mid Pohangina hut and back but due to heavy rain we turned back. We came out via Holmes Ridge.

It was a stunning creek
Rain stopped play and we didn't make it to Mid Poh
So we headed back to Cattle Creek hut for a comfortable night

We decided to go north and get a bit of red line that joined up to a trip that came out the Apiti Saddle some years ago
It was pretty overgrown
We returned the same way and ate lunch back at the packs
Back at Stanfield Hut
We came out via Holmes Ridge
